Meet Keith Miller…. A 28 year old AQHA Professional Horseman who resides in Reidsville, N.C. with his wife, Sydney, and 2 dogs, Gucci and Levi. They own and operate Miller Quarter Horses, a horse training facility, on their 35-acre farm.

Keith grew up a horse crazy kid. With the help of his Aunt he began showing 4-H and open shows at the age of 4. During this time he competed in every event from barrels and poles to western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and jumping.

During high school, Keith worked for an equine veterinarian, he was given the opportunity to work with and break young horses bred by the veterinarian. Many of these horses became 4-H projects and open show horses that they later sold.  With the help of some of his 4-H leaders, Keith was able to obtain a job with a local Quarter Horse trainer and he has never looked back.

In 2010, Keith and Sydney decided to move the training business to Reidsville, N.C. from Pennsylvania. Sydney’s family had already relocated to the area after her Dad retired. They love the area, the people, the climate, and close proximity to so many horse shows. They purchased farm land and built their new facility which includes an 18 stall barn, a covered arena and turn out paddocks.

Keith’s favorite moment in his professional life, to date, was winning the 2011 AQHA World Championship in Senior Hunter under Saddle with Air Ride Equipped. Keith says, “I have always loved him, and still can’t believe that I get to ride him every day; winning the world show was just icing on the cake. He’s such a special horse, with a huge personality, and so much talent.”

Keith’s interests outside of his training business include spending time with his wife, Sydney and remodeling their house. He said, “We bought a new home about a year and a half ago, and have had a great time working on it whenever we have a chance. We really enjoy seeing the progress, and I’m still constantly amazed at the transformation”!
